Real Housewives on New York City Season 3

The Real Housewives of New York City
Bravo, Thursdays, 10pm eastern
*****5 Stars*****

Well, these ladies are full of piss and vinegar this season. If you have loved them in previous seasons, you will be begging for the hour not to be up every week. With their exploding egos and their high school like quarrels, it's hard to not be addicted. These women are celebrities in their own mind.

We have only worked through 3 episodes, but so far Bethenny seems to be tearing up the city streets with her "oh no you didn't" attitude and taking down every housewife along the way. The big shocker this season is that her and old BFF, Jill, are on the outs. I have always been a fan of both women, but I have to say I think I am team Bethenny. Bethenny definitely has a mild case of turrets with her constant diarrhea of the mouth, but 90% of what she says is dead on. She calls the Countess and Jill out on their petty behavior. Although it's awkward to watch, and half of what she says shouldn't ever be said out loud, (AKA "dumb drag queen" in reference to LuAnn....OUCH), I can't help but agree with everything she is saying. Maybe Bethenny just needs a little medication to take her down a notch, but it's probably just the pregnancy hormones rearing their head.

The rest of the characters are somewhat of the same. Jill still thinks she is the most important person in New York, LuAnn is still trying to keep up the proper, classy facade when we all know she is whoring herself around, and Ramona is still a loose cannon (but that's why we love to watch her). Alex, on the other hand, is actually likeable this season. She's the only one that doesn't seem to have an exploding ego. She is staying out of the drama, but not so much that she is willing to let the likes of Jill and LuAnn walk all over her. Making fun of someone's children really is as low as you can go. Kelly still makes absolutely no sense, but she seems to be making an effort to get along better with everyone this season, even giving Bethenny a chance. On the other hand, it's only episode 3.

Bottom line, if you are looking for a guilty pleasure, this is the way to go. No mistake.
